GLORIA WAY
Gloria way
To start the Oak trees that we pruned at Gloria Way HOA are the part of a few 100+ year old Coast Live Oaks that remain in East Palo Alt. The largest of the oaks that we pruned is well over 200 years old.
Our goal for this project was to provide clearance from the building, remove any deadwood and reduce end weight to create a safer tree while also maintaining a beautiful healthy canopy. The trees closest to the roads we pruned with our bucket truck along with having a climber up in the canopy to remove any interior deadwood. There were two oak trees that did not have bucket access so those had to be completed by just climbing. Last the 200+ year old oak tree took two climber and a bucket truck operator a full day to complete, so three cutters and two grounds-men. It was truly rewarding seeing our work at the end of the day and the cherry on top was the feedback from the residence that lived in the community. One of the residents that has lived in the community since it was built, not only complimented our work, but also the way we executed it by teaming up climbers and bucket truck operator along with the grounds-men’s ability to know how to keep residence safe and out of harm’s way by closing off the work area. This job was one of the more rewarding ones given the importance of these trees and the outcome.
